And we decided to include the 24ft stained glass entryway/room dividers as well as the two stained glass pub booths that came from the same estate. Truly a once in a lifetime piece. This incredible antique pub bar came from the Skylands Estate, currently owned by Martha Stewart. The original builder of the home was Edsel Ford in 1925. His goal was to make the estate as original to an early english home as possible. In 1980, the Leedes oil family bought the estate.
She remodeled the bar room in the home and we were fortunate enough to acquire several pieces of the original architectural salvage from the bar and game room, which included this early english pub bar and several other incredible pieces. The bar dates to the mid 1800's and is as well made as any piece we have ever seen. It has been reinforced over the years but what originally put together with square hand forged nails. There are stained glass entryway doors on both sides of the bar, as well as a matching stained glass centerpiece that has a light behind it on the backbar and a matching stained glass centerpiece that has a light behind it on the top piece of the front bar. It's in outstanding condition with very minimal flaws.45 tall to bar top. This beautiful piece dates to the mid 1800s and comes in 9 pieces. Four of the pieces are 22.5 wide 103 tall and 4 deep. Two larger sections are 66.5 wide 123 tall and 4 deep. The doors are 25 wide 91 tall and 3 deep. There is also a transom widow that goes above the doorway and it is 57 wide 32.5 tall and 4 deep. The pub booths are 6ft tall and 5ft wide.
They are repurposed from a church prayer bench. There is some damage to the stained glass. This truly is a one of a kind and a once in a lifetime opportunity. We have lots of provenance to go along with the bar, including a bill of sale from the Skylands Estate and photos provided to us from them as well as the Leedes Family.
